Unfortunately, once the holidays are booked, which is admittedly a brilliant feeling, the countdown begins. It's the long slow days which are appeased slightly with the thought of the holiday, the excitement that builds and overtakes the sinking feeling when you look at your bank account just after you've paid it off.
