Salvador Dali was, to be honest, a bit of a lunatic, however, his works are wonderful, for example;
Sleep.
Clock?
Swans
The man himself was born in 1904, and lived for an epic 84 years, being born and dying in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain. He was, without a doubt the father of the Cubist movement, so many artists owe him their fame.
I'm watching Modern Masters: Picasso on BBC 2 - it's brilliant. Picasso was a wonderful artist with dozens of different styles, completely revolutionising the art world & continually inspiring thousands of people.
Hopefully, at some point, I'd like to do a Picasso trail & follow in his footsteps, see the places he saw & photograph them.
He was wonderful, still is. Modern masters though, is a brilliant programme, iPlayer it now!
