90.____Terri Hatcher

I am a huge Desperate Houswives fan, I won't deny it, so, obviously when I saw an article on Marie Claire about one of the stars, Terri Hatcher, I was curious. Terri Hatcher filmed a documentary/article for Opera, about her being turned from 'the hardworking mom at home' to 'the glamorous TV actress'. I really admire her for doing it, needless to say, she doesn't always look as spectacular as she does on TV and it's nice, for normal people to know that. That without a team of hair and make up artists she looks like we all do when we wake up!

This isn't the first time that the actress has gone make up free to prove a point, she posted this picture, as well as others on Facebook to prove that she isn't using botox.

The picture is from Terri Hatchers Facebook and is also available on Marie Claire's website.

I, on behalf of all women, would like to thank Terri Hatcher for going make up free and as she said;
'The only thing I can say is that I'm willing to be filmed naked in the bathtub on behalf of woman feeling good about themselves.'

So, Thank you Terri, sincerely, for making us realise that you are normal, just like us!

61.____Burberry do make up!

I thought I'd look into Burberry make up, especially as we're heading to London next month, so I thought I'd give myself an excuse to go and try it out!

Clockwise from left: Burberry Beauty Sheer Eyeshadow in Almond, Burberry Beauty Sheer Foundation in Trench, Burberry Beauty Eye Definer Eye Shaping Pencil in Midnight Brown, Burberry Beauty Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick in Nudge Beige, Burberry Beauty Light Glow Natural Blush in Russet

I love the packaging, and as far as luxury make up goes, it's not too expensive, the eyeshadow is £22, the mascara is £21, the eyeliner £15, foundation ranging from £30-£34, blusher between £28-£30, lip liner £15, lip gloss £ 18 and lipstick £22.  Prices from www.harrods.com

I'm very tempted to treat myself and try it out, I'll let you know how I get on!

23.____My Make Up Bag...

"Vanity of Vanity, all is Vanity"

Thought I'd share something about myself with you & here it is:

Bit of a mess I know, but there it is, apparently you can tell a lot about a person by what they put in their make up bags, I currently have;

  • 2 Hair Bobbles
  • 1 Hair Grip
  • 1 Nail file
  • 1 Pair of Tweezerman Tweezers
  • Benefit Dandelion
  • Benefit Hoola
  • Clinique Eye Palet
  • Trish McEvoy Eye Palet
  • Chanel Quattro Eye Palet
  • Chanel Blusher
  • Laura Mercier Mascara
  • Clinique Mascara
  • Estee Lauder Nutritious Foundation
  • Clinique Blusher
  • Mac Eye Palet
  • Barry M Nail Varnish
  • Avon Lipstick
  • Mac Eye Shadow
  • Maybelline Kohl Pencil
  • Marks & Spencer Eye Liner
  • Collection 2000 Liquid Eye Liner
  • Clinique Lipstick
  • Chanel Lipstick Sample
  • Natural Collection Eye Liner
  • Maybelline Lipstick
  • Estee Lauder Mascara and Concealer Duo
  • Chanel Beaute Initiale Sample
  • Laura Mercier & Trish McEvoy Make up Brushes
Ever wondered why your handbag was so heavy? I've just found out why mine is! Some of what in there is brilliant - the Chanel & Benefit are great, however, the Laura Mercier Mascara doesn't agree with my eyes particularly, I bought a Maybelline Super Mascara - a yellow one, in a huge bottle, that is actually brilliant.

As you can tell, I love make up & I'm not ashamed to say that I do spent a lot of money on it, a friend of mine used to be a model, it was her in fact who bought me the MAC eye palet, and she has taught me a lot about what to wear and how to wear unusual colours.

The latest trends are nude lipsticks and pale pastel nails, especially turquoise, which is why there is a Maybelline lipstick in there and a Barry M nail varnish, as well as why I currently sport Lemon Yellow nails, and why there is a bottle of it on my bed at home. The Beaute Initiale coincidentally is brilliant, smells gorgeous but is hugely expensive so I treasure the sample and would beg any more from any nice Chanel lady who would like to give me some more!
